The name Emiel Denys needs no introduction in the international pigeon world. Despite his advanced age, Emiel spares no effort to attend as many One Loft Race finals as possible. His international acquaintances are therefore unparalleled.

A breeding loft built on historic bloodlines

Emiel has spent years finding the perfect mix in his breeding loft. The foundation is formed by bloodlines that have dominated the long-distance world for years. For example, with descendants of the Cattrysse, Vanbruaene, Stichelbaut (The "Remie 54"), and Coutteau breeds, he created a strong long-distance line. The contribution of Dutch long-distance star Anton van der Wegen has also been more than successful. In addition to the foundational breeds, the famous "Tee" line is still woven into practically all the top pigeons. Emiel has always been a collector of international winners/ace pigeons. Top pigeons that have also left their mark on the current stock, and we spontaneously think of the top pigeons "Silver Wing Barcelona" (3rd Internat. Barcelona - Decherf Etienne) and "Trapke" (1st Nat. Ace Pigeon KBDB all-round - Leutenez)

"Sophia": 1st International Narbonne Yearlings 2018

This clever hen with ring number 3017438/17 must have enormous willpower. She braved the sweltering heat and the subsequent thunderstorm to get to her nest as quickly as possible. After the release at 7:15 a.m. in the southern French city of Narbonne, she set a brisk pace. After 875 grueling kilometers, she arrived in Tielt, West Flanders, at 8:54 p.m., achieving an average speed of 1068.31 m/m. This made her not only the fastest Belgian pigeon but also the fastest of the 6,423 yearlings internationally. As an added bonus, she was even the fastest hen of the entire pack, thus also taking home the title of 1st International Hens.
When we examine "Sophia's" pedigree, we see nothing but proven bloodlines. Her sire is a son of "Silver Wing" (who won 3rd International Barcelona in 2013 for Etienne Decherf). This "Silver Wing" was then paired to a full sister of the 1st International Barcelona hens in 2013 for Daniël Arens. Her dam, "Blauwe Narbonne," is a pure Emiel Denys product. She won 11th Provincial Narbonne in 2016 before she began to prove her breeding value.
The great thing is that Emiel also won 1st International in 1974 with his "Prins," and 44 years later, he did it again with his "Lady Narbonne."
