It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of Wolfgang Roeper.

We would like to express our sincere and deepest condolences to the Roeper family during this difficult time.

Wolfgang was a man with a heart of gold and an exceptional personality within the pigeon racing world. He meant a great deal to both German and international pigeon racing. He was always searching for the best pigeons, driven by passion, knowledge and an unparalleled dedication to the sport.

With his pigeons, he made a large number of fanciers champions. His knowledge, experience and vision inspired and helped many to achieve success.

Wolfgang could talk about pigeons day and night. When he spoke, everyone listened attentively. Not only because of his enormous knowledge, but also because of the great respect and merits he had built up for pigeon racing during his lifetime.

With Wolfgang's passing, pigeon racing has lost a remarkable personality. His legacy, his passion and his influence will live on for a long time within the sport and in the hearts of the many people who knew him.

We wish the Roeper family much strength, courage and comfort in coping with this great loss.
